25 Project-Based Learning Examples + One-Page Planning Template

A 14-page packet covering 25 classroom-ready projects across English language arts, social studies, science, mathematics, and cross-curricular electives. Every project includes the driving question, the public product, the grade band, why it clears the bar for project-based learning instead of being a craft activity with a rubric, and the standards territory it lives in.

The last page is the part most teachers say they are actually missing: a one-page planning template covering the driving question, final product, real audience, length, skills, checkpoints, assessment, modifications, and the realistic failure mode. If you cannot fill it in, the project is not ready — and finding that out at your desk is a lot cheaper than finding it out in week three.

Full write-ups for all 25 projects, with classroom detail the packet does not have room for, are in the complete guide to project-based learning examples.

Classroom Expectations Poster

Six expectations, written for adolescents rather than at them, with blanks for your room number, your name, and your course. Print at 11×17 or 18×24 so it reads from the back row, or use the letter version for a smaller room.

There is deliberately nothing on this poster about phones, hall passes, or bathroom policy. Those are procedures, not expectations, and mixing the two on one poster dilutes both.

The reasoning behind each of the six, plus how to introduce the poster so it means something after day one, is in the full classroom expectations poster guide.

Using these

Print them, copy them for your department, put them in a new teacher’s mailbox, use them in a PD session. The only ask is that the credit line stays on the page. If you are writing something and want to point readers here, link to this page rather than re-hosting the files, so people always get the current version.
